Anthony & George | Great Marsh Estate

Anthony and George’s vision for a modern classic wedding at Great Marsh Estate came together in a celebration of love that we will not soon forget. Their love story began after meeting online in the late summer of 2016. They decided to make things official after a Halloween party that same year and began the journey of a lifetime. Through the years, their relationship has been strengthened by laughter, trials, and lots of love! As you scroll through these photos, we guarantee you’ll be able to feel the love these two share, not only for each other, but for their friends and family. This beautiful wedding was truly a celebration of love and we feel honored to have been a small part of it.

It’s the little things…

One of the best parts of Anthony and George’s wedding was the attention to detail. These beautiful rainbow fans were made by a member of the LGBTQIA+ community local to Washington, DC. When looking for vendors they looked for local businesses to bring sweet elements to their wedding day. The fans were actually a sweet surprise from one groom to the other! They were hidden on the wedding party during the ceremony so that after the vows were said they all took them out! How sweet is that?!

In addition to the fans they also had custom sunglasses and chocolate bars made for their wedding day! We love all the thought and care that this sweet couple put into sharing their joy with the people they love most. This was truly a celebration of love and acceptance.

Mr. and Mr.

These two are too sweet for words. It is so obvious that the love they share is what some only dream of. When asked about their advice for other couples planning their wedding they said to “set a budget and then break it” but also to “take little moments to just remember how you are feeling throughout the day” so that you can always remember that feeling. They took many moments to just absorb the love and happiness of the day.

Above you can see the private wedding ceremony that Anthony and George shared with just them and the “official” officiant. They took this private moment to themselves to bask in this beautiful day and of their deep love for one another. The officiant is also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community which created another level of intimacy for this private ceremony.

Below you can see the ceremony that Anthony and George shared publicly with their friends and family. Their officiant for this ceremony was a close friend of the couple, which made it really special. We love the bold pops of red against all the greenery in the florals. It perfectly complimented the beautiful burgundies of the wedding party.

The beginning of forever…

The attention to detail doesn’t stop yet. We love the sweet paper airplane escort cards that Anthony and George decided on. Each table was actually named after an airport that the couple has traveled to together! They have an obvious love for travel and spent their honeymoon in Thailand. They feel lucky to have gone on their honeymoon in February 2020 because they were able to enjoy it right before the quarantine. They definitely had perfect timing!

The wedding reception was all vegan with a meat option which is another really personal detail because Anthony is a vegan . Even those amazing chocolate bars were vegan!

We love the gold, blue and white decor of their stunning wedding reception. Accented with more deep reds from florals and greenery ofcourse! They included modern elements, like the marbled cake and geometric terrariums, with lots of romantic candlelight.

Above all else, Anthony and George wanted to reflect their love onto their friends and family. They 100% succeeded! The whole day was a reflection of Anthony and George’s personalities, story, and love.

We can’t say how honored we are that this sweet couple chose us to help bring their wedding dreams to life. This is truly a day we won’t forget!
